ROBINSON, Melodee Laura On October 1, 2014 our beautiful fiesty mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, daughter and friend, Melodee Laura Robinson, passed away surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her stepson Dustin Kroetsch and her brother Bruce Kreitz.Mom was a true wonder woman whose courage, kindness, and love, always inspired us. Even after fighting a long battle against pancreatic cancer Mel never lost her sense of humour or love of life. Mel will be missed and forever remembered by her partner Richard Kroetsch, her daughters Julee Richmond (Don), Sheri (Russ) Taylor, Christa Kroestch, her son Shayne Robinson, her honourary son Eric Jones, her grandchildren Madison, Ethan, Liam, Logan, Vann, Sadie, Sloane and Dylan. Sister's Jo-anne (Allan) Cline, Coral (Serges) Deschenes, Sandee (Andy) Atzenberger, her dear friend Helen and her fur baby Molly. Born Sept. 22, 1954 in Princeton BC to proud parents Willard and Linnea Kreitz. Mel grew up in Whiterock, BC and was an avid horse person. Her true passion in life has always been her children and grandchildren. We would like to thank all of the fantastic pallative community nurses for their support, it enabled us to honour mom's final wish to be at home with her family. Thank you to Dr. Solano and Dr. Sawchuk for giving us the last 3 years with mom. Mom was a hugger and she hugged all her caregivers at KGH, the Cancer clinic, her free mason drivers and the lab. The love and support from friends and family has been overwhelming. Thank you to all of you. We love you mom. Thank you for being our mom. A celebration for Mel will be held on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 2:00 in the Coast Capri Hotel Ballroom. In lieu of flowers her family asks that you make a donation to the Red Cross or Free Masons and make sure to hug someone, smile freely and flip the bird to cancer.
