JONES, James Halbert: Was suddenly taken home to Jesus on Sunday, January 4, 2015. He is preceded in death one year ago by the love of his life for 60 years, wife Dorothy. He is survived by 7 children, Jim (Anne), Nicki, Cherryl (Jeremy), Doug (Andrew), Brian (Cynthia), Patti (Ken) and Ginny (Doug); 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Jim is best remembered for his love of Jesus and sharing his faith with others, for his love of music as he sang and played the mandolin and guitar, and his love of people - always asking "What's your name?" and wanting to share a hug with everyone. Jim worked for the City of Penticton for 25 years and after his retirement, worked as a School Crossing Guard, being sure to know each and every child's name who crossed his street. The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to Dora and Darla, Dad's primary care givers for the past 10 months in Chase, BC. A family memorial will be held in August 2015 in Naramata. In lieu of flowers, please make donations (cash or cheque) to The Penticton Salvation Army Food Bank at 2469 South Main St, Penticton, BC V2A 5J1. Condolences may be shared by visiting www.everdenrust.com
