PRINGLE, Dr. Stanley Leroy: Dr. Stanley Leroy Pringle, 94, passed away in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. He was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick to Peter and Mary (Boulter) Pringle. Stanley was the beloved husband of Elizabeth; cherished father of Penny (Chris) Philpotts and Deborah (Al) Lafontaine and much-loved Babbo of Katrina and Natasha. He served in WW2 where he was recognized for his distinguished service as an officer with the Royal Canadian Artillery. He was an internationally respected professional: a Forestry Professor at the University of New Brunswick, a Forest Economist for the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations in Rome, and an international consultant with UN, CIDA and CESO. He retired to Penticton, British Columbia where he and Elizabeth enjoyed tending their lovely garden, exploring our beautiful planet, nurturing their family and supporting their community. They were extremely active in the Canadian Club and their Presbyterian Church. A private family funeral was held on December 23, 2014.
