MACDONALD, Gladys Ethel Jan 13, 1922 - July 23, 2013 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys Ethel MacDonald, the matriarch of the Kennedy family on July 23rd, 2013. Our beloved mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, aunt and friend. Gladys was predeceased by her husband Charlie, her son Terry and her brother Bob. The eldest daughter of the Kennedy family, she is survived by her ten brothers and sisters; George (Ella) Kennedy, Elnor (Art) Beet, Alice (Bud) MacDonald, Dorothy (George) Fenton, Esther (Milton) Reece, Ron (Sue) Kennedy, Bill Kennedy, Don (Sheila) Kennedy, Laurie (Andrea) Kennedy, Denny (Barb) Kennedy. Her loving daughters Gaye (Steve) Bjornson, Leigh (Ben) Bjornson, Glennis MacDonald. Her 13 grandchildren, her 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Family was the most important thing to Gladys. She will be remembered for her generosity of spirit, her integrity and her impeccable style. She had a maternal instinct and an unconditional LOVE for each and every one of us. Gladys was an absolute treasure! Celebration of Life will be held for Gladys at the Westbank Community Hall on Sunday, August 4th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to a charity of your choice.
