HAMMELL, Florence Mabel was born to Alfred James Dusenbury and Mary Elizabeth (nee Florence) on November 2, 1919 in Boissevain, MB. Florence trained as a psychiatric nurse in Brandon, MB and went on to work in Toronto, ON, Detroit, Michigan, and Ponoka, AB. She also worked as a rural nurse in southern Saskatchewan providing medical services to the community. Florence married Harvey William Hammell on August 27, 1949 in Winnipeg, MB and resided in Lacadena, SK before moving to Kelowna in 1987. She was predeceased by her younger siblings Edith, Grace, George and Shirley and is survived by her son Terry, daughter-in-law Peggy and two grandchildren Thomas and Lisa.
